Transition cut vintage engagement ring. Gorgeous 1940 petite platinum 10% iridium low profile antique engagement ring. This lovely and delicate ring features a 0.50 carat transition cut center diamond. On either side of the center diamond and on the shoulders of the ring are 3 small diamonds. There is a milgrain finish on both sides of the shoulder as well where the smaller diamonds are set. The period of this ring is Mid-Century Modern. This lovely ring was purchased from a lady who shared that her grandmother wore this beautiful ring from her wedding day until the day she left this earth. The ring measures 5.5 millimeters at the top and tapers to 1.49 millimeters at the bottom. The ring is a size 6 but is easily sized by my jeweler or yours. The diamonds are bright and sparkle beautifully because they are clarity grade VS-SI and color grade is G-I. The ring is in excellent condition and was recently professionally cleaned and inspected to ensure you will be able to wear it trouble free for years to come. This would be such a sentimental gift with a beautiful story.
