If your precious jewelry is ever lost or stolen, it is crucial the appraisal is properly completed. A proper jewelry appraisal will not only provide the replacement price, it will also include photos of the jewelry, the carat weight, measurements, clarity and color of every single diamond or gemstone on that piece of jewelry. It will also include necessary legal wording that protects your interest. Do not assume any jewelry store has persons on staff or outsourced who have completed appropriate courses to protect your interests in the event of a loss. Ask your insurance company to refer you to a qualified appraiser. My designations include: Graduate Gemologist, Gemological Institute of America; Fellow, Gemmolgoical Association of Great Britain and member, National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. I invite you to confirm my designations. It is the prudent thing for you to do.
